I am so excited to share these pictures at long-last! My best friend Allison, aided and abetted by my mother and her family, came down for my birthday on the eighth and surprised me! I was so excited, and of course, called up my friend Amy to see if she could come and do a little photoshoot of us.
Y’all, I don’t know when I’ve spent a more joy-filled Saturday as I did at Layne and Zach’s wedding last week. Oh my goodness, what a beautiful day!
Layne and Zach are not only a super sweet couple, but have the best taste! I was so excited to shoot at The Cabin Ridge. It’s such a beautiful wedding venue! Their day started at The Charleston Inn, where the bridal party got ready. Then everyone took a school bus up to The Cabin Ridge.
If you want to meet someone who is joyful, driven, an overachiever, smart, and who has a servant’s heart – it’s Sam. Some of you may remember when I did her senior pictures a couple years ago. After Sam graduated from high school – including a course in phlebotomy – she went on a nine-month-long mission trip with The World Race.
Sam traveled to Thailand, Malaysia, Costa Rica, and Ecuador. And now that she is back, she’s going Cedarville University – one of the top colleges in the midwest – to study nursing.
Meet the Schatzlein family. Liz and her husband Mike got in touch with me back in March to see if I could come to the Grove Park in July for their family reunion. “Of course,” I said. And so I did. When I got there, I immediately noticed a large family coordinated really well – and naturally, that was them. Liz and Mike are from Nashville, but their kids Tricia, Derek and Michael are scattered around the US with their families. I’m so glad they got together here in Asheville and gave me the honor of being their photographer!
Y’all, I am so excited to share this lovely shoot today! I had so much fun with Matt and Morgan last Sunday at the Botanical Gardens, and I’m sure you’ll agree that they look pretty cute together. 🙂
Meet Kenny and Callie – one of the sweetest couples I’ve worked with. Kenny contacted me a couple weeks ago, telling me that he was coming to NC and wanted to propose to his girlfriend. Could I possibly shoot his proposal? It was a tight time frame, as he was planning to pop the question in less than a week. But I looked at my calendar, did some finagling, and said yes.
And boy, am I glad I did.
Hey guys! Last weekend I had the honor of shooting Ashleigh and David’s wedding with my friend Amy, and it was a blast! Ashleigh was so enthusiastic and excited to get married, and David was her perfect mate. 🙂 They had the sweetest wedding!
I’m not sure how I end up with so many sweet, fun couples. John and Jessica were certainly no exception! From the start, this couple was enthusiastic, adventuresome, joyful, and all-in-all, people you genuinely enjoy being with.
John and Jessica are originally from Arizona where they met in MIDDLE SCHOOL! They were friends all through school (they have a picture of them together at John’s prom!) but only started dating a year ago! Now they live here in North Carolina.
Every time I photograph my cousins, they get a little easier. I get a few more smiles, more faces looking at the camera. Perhaps it’s because they’re getting older. Could be they’re getting used to me. Whatever it is, this is definitely our best shoot yet!
I’ve been taking pictures of this family for maybe five years – longer than I’ve been in business! I’m amazed my aunt even keeps the old pictures on account of how awful they are, but it’s cool to see how they and I have improved. And grown! Definitely grown. Over the past five years, they’ve grown from a family of seven to a family of ten.
